Sub-Second Export

Why wait 10 minutes for an online editor to render? FrameExtract copies raw NAL packets directly from source to destination in less than half a second.

🎯

100% Original Quality

No bitrate degradation, no color shifts, and no audio desynchronization. Your export matches the original camera bitstream exactly.

Lossless Trimming FAQ

Learn how keyframe stream copying works and why it outperforms traditional cloud video editors.

What does 'lossless trimming' mean?
Lossless trimming means cutting a video without decompressing and re-encoding its video or audio tracks. Traditional video editors re-render every frame, which degrades quality, alters colors, and takes minutes. FrameExtract performs a stream copy (slicing the container at keyframe boundaries), which completes in milliseconds with 0% quality loss.
Why does trimming snap to keyframes (I-frames)?
Modern video codecs (H.264, HEVC, VP9) only store full image data on keyframes (Intra-frames); intermediate frames (P and B frames) only store mathematical differences. To cut a video without re-encoding, the cut points must align with keyframes so playback starts cleanly without visual corruption.
How fast is the trimming process?
Because no encoding calculations occur, trimming is limited only by how fast your computer can read and write memory buffers. A 2GB video file can be trimmed into a 200MB clip in less than 1 second.
Are my original file timestamps and metadata preserved?
Yes. FrameExtract copies the original MP4 track atom metadata, maintaining native aspect ratios, HDR color flags, framerates, and audio synchronization perfectly.
