Privacy Policy
FrameExtract is engineered from the ground up as a zero-server, 100% local client-side video processing application. We believe the safest video data is the data that never gets uploaded.
1. Zero Video Uploads & Complete Local Processing
When you drop, select, or process a video file (.mp4, .mov, .webm, .mkv, etc.) on FrameExtract, no video bytes, frames, audio streams, or thumbnails are transmitted over the internet or uploaded to any cloud server.
All demuxing, decoding, extraction, trimming, and ZIP creation occurs entirely inside your local web browser using native hardware decoders (WebCodecs API) and dedicated Web Workers.
2. Origin Private File System (OPFS) Storage
When you opt into saving extracted frames or export archives to browser storage, files are written directly into your browser's private sandboxed file system (OPFS).
This storage is isolated to your local device and your specific browser profile. No third party (including FrameExtract) has access to your OPFS directory. You can view, download, or permanently erase this data at any time via the OPFS Storage manager.
3. Analytics & Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies or invasive marketing beacons. If minimal aggregate page-view metrics are collected to monitor site uptime, they never contain filenames, video durations, resolutions, or personal identifiers.
4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
Because FrameExtract does not collect, store, sell, or process personal data on remote servers:
- There is no personal data stored on our infrastructure to request, export, or delete.
- Your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy frameworks are intrinsically protected by design.
